The technical glitch was identified in the early hours of Wednesday, and the airspace was closed to ensure safety.
The deployment of the Intelligent Approach solution will help increase the tactical capacity of the airport’s five runways.
The funding will be used to reinforce navigation, weather and tracking equipment, as well as replace power systems.
Together, the radars offer all the operational surveillance requirements for both civil and military air traffic control.
